
Can I visit Dimensions if I don’t have insurance?
Yes, anyone living in San Francisco County who is not insured can apply for city-wide coverage know as Healthy San Francisco which will cover the costs of your visits at our clinic. For those who are unisured but living outside San Francisco County, we will try to work with you to see what kind of programs you might be eligible for to help with your medical costs.
Can I visit Dimensions if I don’t live in San Francisco?
You may, but you would either have to pay out-of-pocket for services or have insurance coverage such as Medi-Cal or a private insurance PPO plan that allows you to select a doctor/clinic of your choice.
What if I have insurance through my parents and they don’t know I’m queer/trans?
Billing would indicate you had a visit at the Castro-Mission Health Center not Dimensions Clinic. We take steps to ensure confidentiality for all of our patients, please talk to us about your needs around discretion.
Can I visit Dimensions if I am homeless?
Yes, many of our clients are homeless or marginally-housed or have been in the past.
Will I have to register using my legal name?
Although paperwork related to your medical care must inlcude your current legal name & information, we use everyone’s preferred name & pronouns at our clinic and are prohibited from disclosing your information to anyone outside the clinic without your written consent.
